A longtime resident of South Carolina Senate District 20, Christian and his wife Paige have two daughters, and reside in NW Richland County. An Eagle Scout and a product of Irmo public schools, Christian is a graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law and has taught as an adjunct at the University of South Carolina’s School of Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management. He is active in F3 Lake Murray and holds a commission as a Captain in the South Carolina State Guard’s JAG Detachment. From 2014-2017, Stegmaier was president of the church council of New Hope Lutheran Church in Ballentine. Community is important to Stegmaier.
An attorney and member of the Management Committee at Collins & Lacy in Columbia, Stegmaier also serves as chair of the firm’s Retail and Hospitality Practice Group. His advocacy helps local and national leaders in the retail and hospitality industries do business here in South Carolina. A robust and competitive business climate in South Carolina is important to Stegmaier.
An advocate of legislative reform and term limits, Christian has pledged to serve no more than one full term after the remaining two years of the current term. Leading by example is important to Stegmaier.
Christian works as an attorney, representing retail and hospitality industry leaders. He has worked with local and regional business leaders and local government to help protect and create jobs right here in this community. Christian Stegmaier knows what it takes to make our economy stronger; he will fight for lower taxes and improved infrastructure, and he will be on the front lines recruiting good jobs to our community.
